My thoughts are with you, billy.
Definitely both of you are on my prayer list - and in the prayer circle at church as well.
I am praying for you both.

Prayers sent. Hang in there. My family has dealt with cancer several times, but I'm happy to report many happy endings. Things will get better.
Thanks guys! She's doing well after her third day of chemo... We are looking into a possible bone marrow transplant.
Her (as artist) website for those who are interested is:
yes, my apologies for not being around - She received her first course of chemo. She went up and down a bit over the last weeks... today, Maura is doing well.. eating now - (lost twenty pounds in three weeks, and today - at the start of week four, she had another bone marrow test which showed some inconclusive results - mostly good, but a little teeny bit of doubt.
So she will remain in the hospital through the week and will have a nother test next Monday, at which time it will be determined that can come home for a bit before undergoing more treatment.. or else she will stay in the hospital and go through another course of Chemo. The treatment at the hospital and doctors have been A++++. They are getting loaded up with gifts (mostly food, but some of my drum companies have also sent clothing /"swag") from friends and family on a daily basis.
Once she gets well and is clean of bad cells (cancer) then we will have a crossroads where we need to decide whether to accept the treatment, or go for a home run (bone marrow transplant), which would be a permanent cure. But there is risk in the transplant idea so we will tread very carefully - with consults from other doctors. If any of you have some experience, I would be interested in hearing about this.
We're good... adjusting to the long red road ahead of us. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and kind thoughts.
Wally you and your wife will be in my prayers and as you already see that you have all of this site behind you 110% and praying for you every step of the way.
I can spell,I just can't type!!
I just read in the Game Thread for Tuesday, July 21, that Wally's wife Maura is still in the hospital (since November 8, 2008).
I'm hoping Wally will see this and give us a little bit of an update on her situation. As I had seen no activity on this thread for a while, I assumed that things had moved forward toward recovery.
In the meantime, we can all continue to remember her in our thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for bringing this to the top, Bob. Prayers going up right now.

My prayers go out to Maura...and the family.
