-College basketball (mostly because my school has been dreadful)
-James Madison b-ball (hopes are high with a new coach though)

    +College football
+JMU football (consistent top-5 in I-AA these days)

    =NFL
    =Redskins

    -NBA
-Wizards (pretty much since they changed their name from the Bullets)

    - MLB fan
    -- Reds

    ++ Soccer fan
    + Real Madrid
    + New England Revolution
    + Blackburn Rovers

    = NHL fan
    + New York Rangers

    = college hockey
    = Boston University

    = Fighting sports (boxing, UFC)

+ X Games (summer and winter)

I'll watch big events in bike racing and tennis.

I pay next to no attention to the NFL, college football, NBA, college basketball.

I pay absolutely no attention to golf and NASCAR.

Rich, I ran into some folks from the JMU football team at Logan Airport after the recent game against Northeastern. They were optimistic about the basketball program going through a renaissance.

    +Reds

    +Bengals
    -NFL

    +IU
    =- NCAA anything

    +Pacers
    -NBA

    +US National Soccer

Basically I'm a homer. I have stopped watching sports where I don't have a rooting interest, and I rarely get myself worked up enough to have a rooting interest.

Some schools I used to support like UC, I'll still watch but basically it's my team or nothing.

I'm pretty much down on all sports lately. Not sure what has happened but I've found myself with waning interest. I still check box scores and catch a game when I can, but my fanhood is nowhere near what it was even a year ago. I've had a lot on my plate lately though, and some interests have shifted around accordingly. Just seems off considering how big a role sports have played in my life thus far.

    Re: State of your fandom

    +MLB
    +Cincinnati Reds
=Chicago White Sox (I have maxed out my fanhood and could not possibly care any more about this team and my faith is unwavering)
    +NFL
=Chicago Bears (Same reasoning as above)

    +NBA
= Chicago Bulls (Same reasoning as above)

--College Football (athletes are being treated too much like pros and it is ruining the only reason why IMO the NCAA could be considered better than the NFL and they need a playoff system)
    + Big Ten
    + Purdue, tOSU

Don't follow any other sports and don't care about them really

    Less overall.

    Less Reds fan
    Less Bengals fan

More UK football (and college football overall)
Same UK Basketball (probably slightly less for college basketball overall)

More PGA (Tiger Woods is the sole reason, as I've never played golf)

Less - NASCAR - races seem awfully long, but there's still some excitement

Slightly Less NBA (I don't have cable, so I see few games, but still like it somewhat)

I can't think of any others that warrant mention right now

Didn't play NU this year - maybe it was Maine? Either way, glad to hear it! I'll believe it when I see it though. We had never had even two consecutive losing seasons until former JMU Academic All-American Sherman Dillard came along and drove the program straight off a cliff. New coach is Matt Brady who came from Marist; he's got his work cut out for him.

Nowadays, if people know us at all, it's because we happen to play in the same conference as George Mason.

    Re: State of your fandom

In general, I am losing interest in major sports because I am turned off by the expense and the exclusivity. Everything is moving towards subscription only viewing and I think that's just wrong.

I've see Off Road Championship Racing only about five times. I could watch that stuff all day long.

    +++ Reds fan.

    - overall baseball. i used to watch all kinds of games but now i mostly just follow the Reds.

Baseball is the only sport I follow. Years ago I followed the NBA, college basketball, the Bengals, the NHL Pittsburgh Penquins. Over time I lost interest. Not sure why.
