I do! I'll definitely check this out. Thank you.

That's my only complaint with most BBQ is that it's usually too sweet.

The best frog legs that I've had are served at the Oyster House Saloon in Studio City, CA. Top notch.

DeMilo's Restaurant in Portland, Maine, Supino's Italian Restaurant in Danvers, Massachusetts, and Paula Dean's Buffett in Tunica, Mississippi. I also long for a roast beef sandwich and cup of chowder from Kelley's in Saugus, MA. Also, I'd love to once again enjoy the steak tips at Rico's (now under a different name) on Rt. 1 in Danvers. Mother's in New Orleans is affordable and also hard to beat.

I know the butter story, my buddy is a chef, they drown the world in that stuff... eating out for me is ethnic, so not much butter there. My wifes Grandmother grew up on a farm and HATES butter, she uses margarine, that stuff is the pits.

In 1999 the US average was 4.8 pounds of butter per person a year.

The thinking of late has been that if you are going to use margarine it's actually healthier for you to go ahead and use butter.

4.8 pounds, eh? So that's what's holding my pants up around the middle.

Wasn't the chef there named Bing Moy? Or am I thinking of the wrong place? Or, maybe he's retired now. Either way, very good Chinese.

Back in about 1980 Cincinnati Magazine pubblished a receipe of theirs for steamed mussles. I still do that dish their way almost 30 years later.

Yep, but Bing has since retired and moved to Vancouver. His son now runs the place, and after a recent makeover it's as good as ever. I try to eat there every time I'm back in town.

I almost added this to my list, but I've had memorable meals there for good reasons, and memorable meals there for bad reasons.

I guess b/c of the bad, I just couldn't include it.

However, if I based it off my first ever meal there, then Buddakan would have been a no-brainer for me.

The Inn at Little Washington for best meal--it's about 90 minutes outside of DC in VA, been there 3 times, it's amazing.

As a side note, I took French in 9th Grade simply because the class field trip was to the Maissonette. It was very good, but I really didn't do that well in French class.

The best meal I had in 2008 (so far) was probably at Mario Batali's B and B bistro in the Venetian in Vegas.

    The Refectory, Columbus, OH
    The wife had Roasted Monkfish
    I had the Guinea Hen
We started it all with some fras gras (sp?)
and I had a 12 yr Glen L, which, halfway through the drink, a fly swooped down and drowned himself in it, which was promptly replaced with 24yr at no cost. That made my night.
    Witty signature.
