    Re: Bengals vs. Phillies

Robert Geathers force McNabb to fumble, and Frostee Rucker tumbles into the endzone, but the Bengals are called down at the one. Marvin Lewis doesn't use the challenge because he's not very smart. Edit: The Bengals probably would have been down at the one anyway, but it was really close. If Thornton didn't give up on blocking, it would have been an easy touchdown.

Brian Dawkins and another Eagle seem to be banged up. It's the end of the first quarter.

You can get a five-dollar foot-long from Subway. That's right. For only $5, you can shove something the size of two footballs into your stomach. I love America.

As is Trent Cole. I'm thinking that Craig Krenzel still has nightmares about him.
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

On second and goal, Ryan Fitzpatrick is tackled for a loss of one.

Fitzpatrick throws a ball off Chris Henry's finger tips, and Graham hits the field goal.

The Eagles returned the ball to the 21 yard line. They had three yards of offense in the first quarter.

Buckhalter catches a pass for a 44-yard gain. Too many blitzers.

David Akers makes a 42-yard field goal against the wind look easy.

    3-3

Bob Bratkowski is being Bob Bratkowski.

    1st down = incomplete pass
    2nd down = short run
3rd down = failed third down

The Eagles fail to convert a flea flicker, and they try an end-around that doesn't get anywhere.
The Eagles burn a timeout to prevent delay of game.

Now there's a car commercial. I estimate I will watch over 30 car commercials and 20 beer commercials during this game.

The Eagles complete a 17-yard pass to a wide-open Jackson. McNabb then collects Celek on the slant for a gain of 9. On third and short, the Eagles can't convert. It's been their achilles heel this year.

Chatman calls a fair catch, but the refs rule the ball dead even though Chatman didn't hang out to it. He recovered the fumble anyway, though, so it doesn't matter.

Kooistra doesn't have a chance against Trent Cole. Fitzpatrick is sacked again.

Chatman fumbles the ball, and Eagles gain possession.
He was hit hard and still on the ground.

edit: He's finally carted off the field. It took a long time. Hopefully he's okay. He's another UC guy, for what it's worth.
