    I have no reason to believe Cozart's defense is anything superior to Janish's and if you wanna see a real good 2nd season at Dayton go look at his. Yeah he was a year older but is it a big enough difference to draw this kind of conclusion, I don't think it is.

    Janish has been described as having slightly above average range whereas Cozart is supposedly an elite defender at shortstop. Baseball America compared him defensively to Adam Everett, who was easily the best defensive shortstop in all of baseball for quite a few years.

    Thanks OBM. However as we all know Janish is an above average MLB SS if he hits halfway decent and Cozart hasn't proven he is even Janish offensively yet IMO.
