I have trouble giving up on him because of his bad throws. Trading someone at 25 years old because of 1 flaw in his game seems like a bad idea to me.

I like that plan. The Reds get a solid SS, a solid defensive 3B who can hit at least as good as EE, and a solid RH bat for LF, all for EE, some prospects and some cash. Rivera would be the best deal of all the RH LF available, probably a 2 year $10M contract, and he most likely will put up numbers very similar to Dye or the other options. Also Sanchez has more upside than Arroyo and is a lot cheaper.
    Quick, email this to Walt!

atlanta would've dealt escobar in a deal for peavy. arroyo is no peavy. all i've seen that's new is that cleveland may have an interest in furcal with the idea that he would be their ss and peralta could be moved to 3rd.

Escobar was just a piece of the deal for peavy.

Can't we just send EE to fielding training? Like 20 hours/day until ST?! I'd like to keep EE and can definitely see him improving with practice.

that's true but so is my point that arroyo isn't on the same par with peavy. why would they trade someone like escobar for a sp that's no better than FA sp's that they wouldn't have to trade for?
