    Penn State vs. USC

    Wisconsin VS South Carolina
    tMSU vs Florida State
    Iowa vs. Mizzou
    Northwestern vs. Kansas
    Minnesota vs. Buffalo?

I'd feel a lot better about those matchups.
    I agree. That's a great point.

I suspect that the Fiesta Bowl folks figured that Texas-Boise State would have been a bigger mismatch and wouldn't have drawn nearly as many fans to Tempe. They know better than any other bowl what they are getting with the Buckeyes.

The problem that OSU is going to have is that their offense cannot keep pace with Texas. And Texas is going to follow the game plan most everyone else has this year when playing OSU.... stack the line, stop Beanie, and tell Pryor that he is going to have to beat us with the passing game that just hasn't been there (for the most part).

OSU's defense is good. But I agree with MWM that it's the scheme. McCoy will have a field day with OSU's zone defense.

Those were in our home away from home, Tempe. We got murdered by Florida our only trip to the new site, Phoenix.

I feel good about Iowa, I think Wisconsin could beat FSU, Missouri's D is even worse than Northwestern's so that is a toss up, and maybe an upset somewhere (hope). But I'm the optimistic type.

I had high hopes that the Big 10 would pull an upset last night when Northwestern took Missouri to OT in the Alamo Bowl. No such luck.

    Chase Daniel to Jeremy Maclin.

    Dangerous combo.

That was a really good game. Northwestern should have won...the missed extra point really came back to bite them.

And yet Maclin only had 39 yards receiving in the game.

Too bad the punter for NW spiraled his punt to Maclin right before halftime.

That "weak" Pac-10 is now 3-0 so far.

Oregon-Oklahoma State in the Holiday Bowl was a fun game to watch. The Holiday Bowl is one of my favorite bowls. That game is always a shootout.

I hate to say it but I think Penn State will beat USC.

I think Ohio State has a higher probability of beating Texas, than Penn State does of beating USC. I see too many players on USC playing for paychecks. I don't like their chances in either game.

College refs strike again. Oregon State scored a TD with 10 seconds left in the first half but the refs made a bad call and ruled it incomplete. Instead of 10-0 OSU at halftime, it's only 3-0.

    Re: Big Ten Bowl Matchups

Now Oregon State gets penalized for one of their gunners running out of bounds and then back in bounds? It's not like he touched the ball. OSU was forced to re-punt and instead of Pitt having the ball at their own 10, they now have it at the OSU 40. That's the first time I've ever seen that type of penalty. I still don't understand what happened there. Even the announcers are mystified.

this has been a boring game.

PAC 10 is now 4-0 in Bowl Games with the Granddaddy of them all left to play.

Iowa keeps the Big 10 from going winless by beating South Carolina.
