One of the hazards of drafting high school pitchers. The rules don't give you very many years to develop them before they have to be protected or exposed to the draft.

Thus, Mesoraco playing in a league he doesn't belong in right now.

True, but he started off extremely slow in Dayton last year. I look for him to get much better by season's end. Besides, I'm more concerned about his progression on defense. A normal track for a catcher would of the Yadier Molina's of the world.

He had the injury last year early. He did recover from that. Throwing out only 3 of 33 baserunners is disturbing.

Terrell Young has been returned to the Reds and on Louisville roster. Where does Young now rate on the Reds prospect list? Do the Reds put Bray on 60 day DL in order to create a roster spot for another move?

    Terrell Young Returned To Reds

By Drew Silva [May 14 at 12:59pm CST]
According to Mark Zuckerman of the Washington Times, the Nationals have returned Rule 5 pick*Terrell Young*to the Reds' organization.

The 23-year-old right-hander was the first overall pick in December's Rule 5 draft. *He injured his shoulder during spring training, however, and did not throw a pitch for the Nats. Washington will be returned $25K of the $50K they originally paid to draft him.
