I wouldn't want Alou if he was willing to play for free. Too old and injury prone. Anderson would be a pass too.
I would be suprised if Alou gets a guaranteed deal anywhere.
alou does have a nice bat but i don't think we could count on him for 500 abs.
Ten years ago Anderson may have been worth a look. He should stay in the AL. I think he'd be better as a DH for someone.
I feel better with Jocketty at the helm than I have in quite awhile. The players he's targeting may be older, but you mix in those guys with the young guys on the roster and it's a pretty good mix. Hes' not just making moves to make moves. I, for one am tired of the constant "rebuild" that has gone on for the last 9 seasons.
