2008 Year-End CD- Taste It Again For the Fourth Time

    http://www.redszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64302

I've offered this little annual project of mine up in this space several times before. I believe at least ten or twelve RedsZone members took me up on it last year. So I'll keep this short: if you want two free mix CDs, either send me a PM or an email to drscott46@gmail.com with your mailing address. I will have a web-downloadable version available on Mediafire.com (link will be emailed as well as posted in this thread) that will include another disc's worth of extra tracks I couldn't find room for. I am a lousy editor, what can I say?

What's on the list this year?
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

I believe the base package contains 46 tracks, with the download-only "bonus" tracks numbering another 26 or so.

You'll get a wide variety of pop-rock, with a few hip-hop tracks and a liberal helping of Portland's finest. A few of the acts in question:

-Black Keys, like virtually every year
    -The Cribs
    -MGMT
    -Gutter Twins
    -The Gaslight Anthem
    -Al Green
    -Blitzen Trapper
    -The Helio Sequence
    -The Cool Kids
    -Lyrics Born
    -Jamie Lidell
    -Raphael Saadiq
    -Delays
    -Fleet Foxes
    -Ladytron
    -M83
    -Crooked Fingers
-Thao and the Get Down Stay Down
    -Bon Iver
    -YACHT
    -Dead Confederate

Which M83 track is on it?
Saturdays = Youth is my favorite album of 08 so I'm a little curious.

That would be "Kim and Jessie", of course. M83 wasn't really my bag before their journey into pop accessibility, but now they've got a single that's like the follow-up hit Spandau Ballet never had.

It's possible that the physical mailings might not happen until just after the first of the year, but the download links will be up prior to the holiday. I'll put up another post with said links early next week.
