It's a crazy world we live in.

Speaking of which MLB Front Office Manager comes out in a little over a week. I'm pretty excited for it.

Do you think MLB FOM will be available in most stores?

I would say so. I know Gamestop will have it.

MLB FOM was given a very bad review by Game Informer Magazine in the Feb 2009 issue-3/10. It might be prudent to rent the game before purchasing it.

So I'm looking for a good RPG for PS3 or Wii...Elements I'm looking for:

    - Fantasy (swords/magic) > Realism (guns)
    - Tactical combat (turned based) > Action combat (button mashing)
    - Group (of characters) > Solo
    - Strategy > Problem Solving
    - Somewhat linear > Completely open

I was a huge fan of the Shining Force series growing up and liked FF7-9. Was a big WoW player for a few years. I've had a hard time finding reviews for the games that really describe the gameplay. I've browsed a bit and seen games like Oblivion IV, Fallout 3, Fire Emblem, Disegea, etc. So what should I be considering?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Reading your criteria made me upset, momentarily, that they never made a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics.

Bad AI and interface. Games have to be truly terrible to get poor reviews from a magazine like Game Informer since its published by GameStop.

Well, I did read that it was very in-depth, and sports games rarely get a fair shake in the reviews (think NFL Head Coach). Did the review even understand what he was doing? I read one of his complaints was that he was able to trade a player with a no-trade clause. Duh, you can trade them (with their agreement). If I buy the PC version that would help make up for the poor menus some. However, I'm not sure if I'm still going to be buying it right away. I might as well go with OOTP9 if I'm going to buy the PC version...

I think people who understand baseball will think differently.

It doesn't really meet your criteria but I bought Fallout 3 last week and I love it.
