Tony did not get the silent clock. It was quickly picked up on that he might not be dead.
Freckles is heard gasping during the clock. Therefore it is not a silent clock.

President Taylor is most likely from the same party as Charles Logan? Is there any secret that suddenly the corruption is coming from the same party? Is there any significance to that at all?

That town could have been just about anywhere in the Continental US, so every time I heard Kidron mentioned, I kept wondering which producer or writer had either an affinity for or a dislike for Kidron. Considering how things turned out, my money's on affinity.
The other thing I wondered was how in the world the President knew off the top of her head that the population of Kidron was 30,000! My son's guess was that she had campaigned there, since Ohio's a swing state.
