I am sure he is not thinking about the major leagues right now or how long it might take him to get there. He is thinking about just trying to get better in the games he is playing in. He is hoping to be able to be a better player next week and next month than he is today.
For that matter, any Single-A player who is thinking about his personal timeline to the majors is only hurting himself.
On the other hand, he is aware that there is extra pressure on a first round pick, and he has to try not to take that pressure out on the field with him. It is a tough enough game to play without having any extra pressure on you.
Mesoraco is a non-roster invitee to big league camp. Those who saw Mesoraco struggle to catch Single-A pitchers last season have to wonder how he will do when trying to catch Johnny Cueto and Edinson Volquez. That is kind of scary.
