even predicting a rainout huh?
I don't know that since Jones was added we can hope for that. Dusty's been given a 'vet' to turn over LF to now.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

I do not see this team as upgraded at all. My guess is around 72 wins. So I will take the 'under' on the Reds playing .500 ball. (I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it).

I'll take the under with the current roster.
I'll take the under till they improve the roster.
I could see these guys flirt with 500 for a while, but they are not deep enough or good enough.

I say well under. I hope I'm as wrong as I've ever been, but I don't think this team is any better than it was last year. The argument can be made that it's worse.
I cannot make win total predictions unless it is in that offical thread right before Opening Day.
But, under.
I'm saying, with the current squad, under 70.
Lost too much offense and didn't add nearly enough defense or pitching. Taveras and Jones will start the year in CF and LF and Dusty will wait about a month too long to make a switch when their suckitude is apparent to all others, costing them at least 6-9 games.
74 should be the over/under not 82. They'll never sniff .500 after the 4th of July (if they're even within five games then). I'm saying 72 wins and a tight race with the Bucs for 5th/6th place.
The best news is September, with a lineup that has at least 5 players with three or less years experience (as many as 7 when Hanigan catches). Phillips and Hernandez are the only vets playing with any regularity (EdE too if he isn't dealt - I say that's 50/50 though).
