    Columbus 97.1

Has anyone else noticed that 97.1 is now the old 1460. Great move. You can finally hear the station after 6 pm, and outside of 270. One interesting side not about the change, the switch from AM to FM and higher quality sound makes all of their voices sound completely different. I didn't even recognize Hooley in the afternoon.

Sometimes it's cheaper to produce something you already have instead of new content.

WHIO did that in Dayton. Smartest move ever. I can now hear Flyer games. WING should do the same. There's only 26 other hip-hop stations in Dayton.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

The only thing this does in my opinion is allow us to hear OSU BBall games clearly at night....the rest of the local content on BNS is a joke....

Agree, but last night it was nice to hear the Thad Matta call-in show on the way home from work.

It will be nice during football season too, when they do the Buckeye Roundtable.

Did 1460 go away? I loved that station when I was up at OSU and listen to it every time I am driving through the area.

It's pretty much 97.1 now, only it picks up MUCH better reception.

goreds2---I will agree with you on the Matta and Buckeye Roundtable shows--Keels, Lachey, Herbsteit and especially Ronnie Stokes do a very good job---but Hooley, Ricordati, Torgensen and especially Speilman are unlistenable to me...

They're fine, they are just and meatheads. I just wish they weren't so dismissive of everything not titled "Ohio State".

I am a big Ohio State fan---but 1460's constant yapping about anything Scarlet and Gray turns me off, and Speilman is just such a hypocrite I cant take anything he says seriously....I prefer "Shark on Sports" (103.9) and the Bucksline crew (610) over any of the regular yakkers on 1460...
