Granted, it was a loss, but the 2001 game where Randy Johnson had 20 Ks against us is on at 830 eastern tonight.

I'm expecting a good game from Reitsma, but Graves has been looking shaky lately.
Sadler and his .280 OBP leading off!
I remember watching this game. Johnson was on that night, but that was a crap lineup Boone put out there.
IIRC, the Reds shoud have won this game.
She used to wake me up with coffee ever morning
That is one sad lineup...
I was at that game... I actually found myself cheering for Johnson, I was 15 years old so don't hold it against me...
I'm actually pretty sure I was at this game. I remember me and my buddies sneaking in a bunch of beers.
The Red Sox just hired Alex Ochoa as an asst. coach.

That really was an unfortunate line-up. How long ago did 1999 look by that point in 2001? A long time back...
May 8, 2001...I was about to receive my J.D. that upcoming weekend.
Wasn't May of 2001 when one of Graves' all-time disasters against the Cardinals happened? My memory mercifully dims...
Just a heads up - MLB Network will be showing highlights of the Reds/Yankees 1961 World Series on Thursday at 1:30 PM. I've never seen those highlights before. I'm looking forward to watching it even though they lost the series. At the very least I'll get to watch Frank Robinson and Vada Pinson ... and those great uniforms.
Did anyone watch MLB Network last night from 10:00 to 11:00? Larkin and Casey were both on there which is awesome because they are bringing more attention to the Reds. Towards the end of the show they showed the Reds/Rays highlights and then the batting stance guy came on and impersonated the Big Red Machine hitters, and then did his Larkin and Casey impersonation. Then they followed by showing clips of Larkin and Casey from the brutal 2001 season.
For those interested in seeing it, they are currently showing a repeat. Or you can go to the Reds website and watch in the video corner on the right side.

I did. It was a lot of fun, and completely unexpected.
