    Junior has knee scoped

Former Red Ken Griffey Jr. underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove a bone spur.

Reds team physician Dr. Timothy Kremchek performed the procedure Monday in Cincinnati. Normal recovery time is four to six weeks.

It’s the second time in a year that Griffey has undergone surgery on his left knee. He was limited by the knee at times during the 2009 season. He had it drained on multiple occasions.

Griffey hit .214 this season with 19 homers and 57 RBIs in 117 games and was embraced by fans in his return to Seattle. The Moeller High product was a designated hitter for all but the first weeks of the season.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

After all of his injuries and surgeries, Junior must sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies any time he moves.

He certainly should be able to tell when rain is coming.

And Kremcheck was heard to say after the surgery, "I got it all this time, he'll hit .300 and 30 homers this year. I really mean it this time."
    Where we gonna go?

Anyone think Griffey has 2 more seasons left in him? He needs 30 more homers to tie Mayes on the Home Run list and he needs 237 hits to get to 3000.

DH'ing...yeah, quite possibly. Not sure if he'll get it though. I doubt if there are many buyers out there looking for his services.
