I'm listening online on WLW's site. I thought it would be blacked out, but it isn't.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Reds' 1st (Hernandez pitching): Taveras 6-3 (Jonny Gomes made a nice catch of Taveras' bat after he let it go on strike 2). Hairston L8. Votto K (looking).

Rays' 1st (Volquez pitching): Bartlett 6-3. Crawford singles to left. Longoria F8. Burrell K.

    Reds' 2nd: Phillips 4-3. Bruce L6. Encarnacion reached on E9. Dickerson 6-4.

I think this will be the year I finally learn what all those numbers and letters mean in game logs because I won't be able to follow things very well if I don't learn them, LOL

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

    1-Pitcher
    2-Catcher
    3-1st Base
    4-2nd Base
    5-3rd Base
    6-Shortstop
    7-Left Field
    8-Center Field
    9-Right Field

    E-Error
    L-Line out
    F-Fly out

Ground outs are usually given as the person it was hit to, and the 1st baseman, or whomever is covering the base where the out is recorded.
6-3 is Shortstop to 1st Base.

Good to hear the Reds on the air again. The months of waiting are over.

I'm streaming WLW as well. I figured it wouldn't be blacked out since it's a Spring Training game.

Ohhh, thanks guys! I knew the numbers referred to the players but I could never keep track of which was which on the field. That info will come in very handy during spring training while I learn everything and hopefully I can follow game logs much better this year. Thanks again!

I'm glad Volquez had a great second inning. I'm interested to see how he does this year with more pressure on him.

It seems that Volquez changeup is still tying hitters in knots.

Thanks, although I don't know if that makes me happy or nervous, LOL

Volquez K's Longoria to end the third inning.

    3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K

    Scoreless after three innings.

Cueto should be going the next inning.
