For all the out of towners. Downtown Cincinnati has scent all by itself. It's not a bad one either. Go to the Museum (union) and sniff from there.
Dirt and I don't mean myself. Reminds me of my baseball glove.
Fresh baked bread. My old grade school used to make some of the best rolls I have ever eaten. Sometimes I can still smell them they were so good.
Fresh coffee with the aroma of fresh bacon frying in the background.
Freshly opened package of bubble gum cards.

I look like a banker in this...
Walking out on my back deck very early in the morning with a cup of coffee and smelling spring in the air.
"In my day you had musicians who experimented with drugs. Now it's druggies experimenting with music" - Alfred G Clark (circa 1972)
Fall. People have mentioned wood smoke and burning leaves (thanks woy, for telling me I'm old) and I think those are part of it, but I don't think it's that limited. It's that one night when you walk outside and you smell fall. Same with winter.
And books. new and old.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
Most of mine have been mentioned, but I don't recall anyone mentioning Topps baseball cards, fresh out of the pack, when they were nothing but plain ol' cardboard and had that slab of gum with them.
Fresh cut grass
Puppy Breath
Coconut

"Whatever you choose, however many roads you travel, I hope that you choose not to be a lady. I hope you will find some way to break the rules and make a little trouble out there. And I also hope that you will choose to make some of that trouble on behalf of women." - Nora Ephron
That's one of mine, too. A few others:
Fresh baked apple pie
Fresh baked bread
Fresh baked oatmeal cookies
Fresh baked pumpkin nut bread.....for some reason I'm getting hungry
Fresh brewed coffee
Tobacco curing (I hate all forms of smoking but love the smell of tobacco)
New car smell (especially my current one)
Leather
Freshly cut hay
An ocean breeze, especially on the first day of a vacation
A walk just after a rain
One more that hasn't been mentioned by anyone.....my wife
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."
