I guess he skipped the main conditioning in spring training, so he can sign now. I honestly think that's the only reason he hasn't signed yet. He knew the Dodgers were the only team that wanted him, so he milked it and missed the worst part of spring.
Excellent point, Manny hates the first few weeks of ST. Though, to be fair, he keeps himself in stellar shape and he hits year-round, so it's not like he misses anything when he stays away until March.Originally Posted by guttle11

Drew, who opted out of his contract with the team at the end of the 2006 season; and $36.2-million bust Andruw Jones.
McCourt and Boras resumed talking on Tuesday, meeting at length to settle their differences and progressing to the point where McCourt requested to see Ramirez in person.
Ramirez obliged, flying from Miami to Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Today, they met, agreed to a deal, and all was right again in Mannywood.
At least until next year.
