    Whose autograph is this?

Hi everybody. First of all, sorry for my english, because i'm from Spain and my English is not so good. The matter is that, my girlfriend was last week in Ohio and she went with a group of people to a Cincinnati Red's match. She was very lucky because he took a baseball ball and at the end of the match, one player signed it for her (she had some problems with security members to achieve this.. but it was worth i guess haha).

Actually the problem is that we don't know almost nothing about baseball and about the author of this autograph. So I beg you please to tell me who he is just out of curiosity.

Thank you and greetings from Seville, Spain!

First of all, welcome from Reds Country......what "match" did your girlfriend attend in Ohio since we havent started play here yet?? Was she in Florida maybe for Spring Training? To answer your question---the autograph is from Tom Browning---a very good pitcher from the late 80s through the 90s. He has pitched a perfect game and is known as quite the character---sitting on rooftops at Wrigley Field during a game and so forth and is quite good with fans....I'm thinking she got it from him in Florida since he is a "special instructor" for the Reds.

Spanishfan, you may read more about Browning here:

BTW, my dad's cousin lived in Seville for many years. His three children were all born there. He wrote a number of books on bullfighting, including this one
