Yeah I'm DVR'ing it. I think it's also on 2-3 more times this weekend (including once on OD prior to Reds Live) if you look on the FSN listings.

Speaking of previews, baseall Tonight had their Central preview on this afternoon. Much to everyone's surprise, they spent about 60 seconds covering the Reds. Ravech metioned Votto, bruce, and that some pitchers are on the team, and moved on. basically they just noted we're a young team on the rise with some pretty good starting pitching.

Their computer simulation of the 2009 season had the Central shaking out as this:

    1. Cubs (92-70)
    2. brewers (87-75)
    3. Astros (84-78)
    4. Cards (81-81)
    5. Reds (79-83)
    6. Pirates (62-100)

I find that since The MLB Network launched, I have no interest at all in Baseball Tonight.

    C'mon, they're not smoking crack.

They obviously use it as a body polish.

Yeah, that one tipped my "peculiar" scale.

Speaking of the preview last night, did anyone catch who they listed as the 5 best position players in the Central? It was Pujols, Berkman, Tejada, Lee, and Braun. Not in that order but that was the 5.

    Tejada and Lee?

Well, Lee plays LF with all the aplomb of a pregnant camel in a forest fire and Tejada is just average defensively anymore with a bat that is in a 5 year decline.

    pheh.

Lee's defense wasn't even mentioned but Olney did say Tejada wasn't a great defender anymore. He said those two should have big years offensively due to their home ballpark.

Well, Tejada spent all of last year in that same park and kinda stunk. Plus it's not like B-More is an extreme pitchers park.

    what a dumb analysis.

Why do I think this "computer simulation" was more likely some scribblings that John Kruk wrote on an Applebee's napkin?
