I expect the pitching to be better than we've seen in quite some time - though that doesn't say much - but this team is likely going to have a serious on-base percentage problem that I expect to cut into the offensive run production.

Put an end to the Lost Decade.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98
The losing stops now.

89 wins and solidly in second place...no wild card though.
Chapman to the rotation!!!! Do it already!!!!
On the bright side, I think our upper bound has increased significantly. In past years, an everything goes right outcome would still have left us in low 80's. This year, it would put us in the wild card hunt.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

85, maybe I'm too much of an optimist
