Dusty said at the beginning of spring, that he would bat Gonzalez in the 7th spot.
If you look at his past lineups, that the SS must bat second is a myth. Dusty has batted the SS in the 2 spot only 25% of the time in the games that he has managed in the majors. And a lot of those went to Rich Aurilia and Nomar. CF leading off is a different matter.
