    As of 6-23-2009...

Branyan was struck on the forearm with a pitch, x-rays were negative, but he got a couple of days off. He's 8 HR's off his career high of 24. According to Yahoo!, Branyan was the last regular to hit into a DP this season when he did so saturday night.

    thppt!

Branyan was one of those guys that suffered because someone insisted he was a 3B or LF. The power was always there. the Walks pretty much always there. He really is a poor man's Adam Dunn.

I think he'll hit 35 HR's this year as he can DH on days he needs a rest.

Which again, makes me a prophet.

His season reminds me of Carlos Pena in 2007. He could always hit but was never given the chance. Speaking of Carlos Pena in the fantasy forum, who wants to trade for Pena in the RZ Dynasty League? (what a transition)
