Earlier, I observed in a minor league talk thread that Viola seems to be either very, very good or very, very bad. Today provided an example. After a spring line of 5.2 IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, and 7K's, today he gave up 6H and 5ER's in .2 innings.

Though it didnt mean anything as far as being a real game. Glad the big boys won and didnt lose the last two before OD.
I remember the one year when they lost the first two exhibition games at GABP prior to OD and then proceeded to start the season losing as well.

I heard Viola is dealing with some pretty tough stuff with his Mom at present. I would cut him some slack for this performance.

If the Reds would have gotten swept by the "futures," then shouldn't the futures get promoted to the "presents" and the "presents" demoted to the "pasts?"

    Its all very confusing...

Nice towwwwwering homer by Chris Valaka....and Edwin showed a little pop. Plus A-Gon looked really good at SS....all said, not a bad way to spend a nice spring day in Dayton; especially with what Mother Nature has in store for Monday...
