Does anybody know what the rotation is? If LeCure is pitching Monday, who else is pitching in between?

    Re: 2009 Louisville Bats roster

Here is what I was thinking in regards to the reds lack of right handed hitting off the bench

    1. Experiment with Adam Rosales in LF, he is capable of playing multiple spots on the infield but if he showed he could handle LF than it might enhance his value to the major league club.

    2. Of course if you gave time to Rosales in lf than that would take away from other prospects time such as Dorn, but since the reds don't have a true 1b prospect in AAA they could occasionally have Dorn play 1b, which I believe is something that they have already looked at.

    3. I think it may be time to part ways with Norris Hopper, the reds already have 4 guys (Hairston, Dickerson, McDonald, Taveras) in MLB who are at worst adequate in CF. They also have a couple of CF prospects above AA (Heisey, Stubbs). I just don't see much of a fit here anymore.

    4. Also by releasing Hopper this would open up a spot for the reds to send down McDonald or move up someone else.

To me it just doesn't seem to make a ton of sense to have three right handed hitters with similar skill sets all capable of playing CF on the MLB level yet no right handed pop of the bench.
