It's early.........it's only two games.....the Mets may be the best team in the NL....the 1999 Reds started 0-3....blah blah blah....
From a standings perspective, nothing has happened yet. It's beyond ridiculously early. Not even I can come up with a reason why any upcoming games are particularly "important."
But having said that, it sure has been discouraging watching these first two games.
Talk about bad chemistry (which, IMO has little to do with clubhouse camraderie). We pitch very well one game and hit very well one game and come away with zero wins.
Yes, it's only two games, but it sure looked a lot like the 1,458 games we've seen over the past 9 years.
Hope springs eternal for baseball fans in early spring, but it's hard to not be taken aback a bit by what we've seen these first two games.
