By the way, Carolina will be facing Tom Glavine today.

That's what I thought I heard last night but they have someone else listed on the website.

Yep. I just noticed that. The Carolina game recap from last night said Glavine was going today but now the scoreboard is showing Kyle Cofield as the probable starter for Mississippi.

Anxious for Todd Frazier to light up Glavine.

Horst now through two scoreless. S-Reds have one hit first time through the order. Bottom 3rd. The guy going for St. Lucie, Calero, had some very nice numbers last year in the South Atlantic League. He put up 5 K's first time through our hitters.

Reed is off to a decent start. He's another "athlete" who isn't on anyone's top 40 propsect list. Could we have another late blooming Dickerson type in the making?

Reed is only 21. That's hard to believe since it seems like he's been around forever.

Any one want to bet that Stubbs doesn't get a hit in the leadoff spot?

After the 2008 season, after Stubbs made his rise through the system, was the time to deal him. The team would be fine with a Dickerson/Heisey platoon for the next few years until Rodriguez is ready. Selling Stubbs high in an offseason where the Reds had specific needs to fill seemed like a good use of the minor league system.

Drew Stubbs led off with a walk and scored on Chris Valaika's 2-run homer. That's Valaika's first AAA hit.
