Funny how it wasn't bothering Voto when he doubled in the fourth...I think the TV crew need to chill on excuses. Sometimes pitchers make good pitches and batter make outs. Snell made a quality pitch to Votto and won that exchange. Unfortunately.

How the heck does Harang have 5 ks?

Finally, new Reds killer Nyjer Morgan makes an out. Another K for Harang, who is generally dealing today.

Of course, the problem with these innings where we could score it always comes down to the same two or three guys who have the opportunity to drive in runs. It's ludicrous to think they can deliver all the time. The problem with Brandon Phillips is patience. He didn't give the pitcher a chance to make a mistake. I unfortunately see this in Jay Bruce too and hope he outgrows it. Brandon will always be like that.

The TV crew said it earlier in the at bat, not as an excuse for Votto striking out. I have no idea if it's really bothering him, but as a matter of roster composition the Reds should have a backup for both Votto and EE and they don't.

Meanwhile, this is the best Harang has looked since last year in San Diego. It's the Harang of old today.
