I don't know who Castro's agent is, but if I ever want anything, I want him to be the guy to try to get it for me.

A reputation as a good defender takes many, many years to shed.

Wow, I thought DeWitt had some emerging talent.

Optioned to AAA only to be replaced by Manos de oro?

    Yikes.

Leo Cardenas was running on fumes by 1972...yet he still squeezed about 3 more years based on a defensive reputation.

If Casey Blake doesn't start hitting, DeWitt will be back by mid-season.

It's the old steady hands, accurate but weakening arm, and no range, vs. the raw athletic ability, wild arm and bad footwork debate. The former tends to get the break over the latter.

Not that I want him back as a player but give Castro some credit, he's managed to play pro ball for 14 seasons based largely on his reputation as a glove man.

Juan Castro could do his own bailout of Reds fan for having to suffer through his hitting.

To add him to the roster they designated Delwyn Young for assignment. We should snag him maybe?

I would take a chance on Delwyn. No doubt.
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...
