    Wednesday 4/15/09 Minor League updates

    Louisville - 7:05 - LHP Adam Pettyjohn

    Carolina - 8:05 - LHP Travis Wood

    Sarasota - 7:05 - LHP Travis Webb

    Dayton - 7:30 - LHP Matt Fairel

I wonder why Pettyjohn is starting over Maloney tonight?

Anyone else listening to the Sarasota game online? You can hear the announcer typing.

Palm Beach just had a walk followed by a triple off of Travis Webb to take a 1-0 lead in the first.

Apparently Jake Kahaulelio just made a diving catch out in center to end the inning. Jake was playing 2B, but made a long run out there to get it apparently.

Alonso, Buchholz, and Soto are all in mini slumps after having big games on Opening Night.

Mesoraco walked for Sarasota in the second, but he was surrounded by three ground outs in the inning. Sarasota down 1-0 in the middle of the 2nd.

Oh, just a note on the Dayton Dragons. This will be their 6th game of the season and they have yet to hit a HR.

Not too surprising. Their offense is lacking guys with power, and the one guy that actually has some power only gets to play a couple games a week (Byron Wiley). Once again, Wiley is out of the lineup tonight. I would love to know why some of these non-prospects are playing over Wiley.

Sarasota has the first two batters on here in the 3rd with a hit for Perales and a walk for Kainer.

Louisville falls behind 1-0. Pettyjohn is struggling with his command, 3 walks in 2.1 innings.
