Bunt single for Gonzalez and he goes to 2nd as Lilly throws the ball away.

That was just a silly great push bunt for a hit from Cueto. Spectacular.

That bunt by Cueto was one of the best bunts I've ever seen. Man he is fast.

Should make him the number 6 guy permanently against RH pitching (or maybe 7th), but against a lefty, he hits in the top 4 some place IMO.
I wouldn't get too worried about who hits fourth and who hits sixth. Bottom line is that neither EE or BP has proven himself to be a cleanup hitter. Whichever guy hits fourth is really hitting out of position.

Key is to get these right handed hitters swinging a decent bat. Right now, the entire right handed group is in a deep slump. Lefties aren't doing too much better.

Phillips is 1 for 19 vs Lilly.....so LH or not....he should be batting 7th.

EE is 5 for 18 against Lilly.

The 1982 Reds actually....had a BA of about .282 going into May and most of that month......they just had NOBODY who could drive in a run to save their lives. They would score 2-4 runs and have 10 hits....in some games.

By June-July though....they were barely scoring 2-3 runs a game.

Taveras needs to try and bunt too, apparently their offensive woes come from trying to hit the ball far...

Maybe on off days Cueto should lead off and Owings should bat cleanup.

Agree for the most part, but against a lefty Phillips is a monster.
