I guess Hanigan and Janish haven't earned a 2nd start? Is there an unwritten rule that they can't start on b2b days?!?

I'm getting sick of Gonzo and Hernadez getting all the starts when they aren't hitting a lick but their back ups are. With that said they'll do well tonight

I still maintain that it's lunacy to bat Owings so far down the order. If you think his bat is enough of a weapon for him to be (usually) the first PH off the bench, why bury him at #9 on days he is in the lineup?

He should at least be batting 7th

With Harden going, we better hope Owings throws a gem tonight.

The Cubs are throwing Harden, Lilly, and Zambrano this series. I'll be happy with one out of three, which would give the Reds a winning road trip.

Supposed to be around a 10 minute delay. Game should start around 8:15 ET.

Wow. Six starters hitting under .220 and Reds still have a winning record. Smoke and mirrors.

The Reds won't be great offensively by any stretch, but I'm fairly confident they won't have this many hitters hitting in the low .200's all year. What happens when a few start to break out of their slumps?

If the Reds get good pitching to keep them in the game, then they have that chance to win. It's proven successful so far. But if any of our pitchers start to hit "rough spots", then this offense doesn't have what it takes to "take up the slack" IMO.

Anybody know how the wind is? I read gusts in the mid 20's, it'll either be a 10-9 game or a 1-0 game. haha
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

It's the Reds. That's when the pitching will struggle.
