Edwin flies out to right on the first pitch and Bruce flies out to right.

Two very easy innings by Lilly so far.

Ok. Watching the Reds play the Cubs officially makes me miss Adam Dunn more.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

Phillips takes an outside pitch and flies out to left. 0-0 mid 2nd. Phillips biggest problem is he continues to try to pull everything.

I was 11 the summer of 1982, when the worst offensive team I have ever seen wore the Reds "C". I think even that one had some games where they strung some hits together on occasion. Memory dims, but I think that's right.

Late to this thread. Glad Dusty realizes Phillips at clean-up isn't etched in stone, but does anyone think dropping him down against a lefty is odd timing? 0for 21 be darned. Phillips has has three things really going for him: He's a great defender, he runs really fast and he destroys lefty pitching. His value comes from those three things.

Should make him the number 6 guy permanently against RH pitching (or maybe 7th), but against a lefty, he hits in the top 4 some place IMO.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Nice inning for Cueto there.

I think it's not just because he's struggling but also because he's like 0-19 or something off Lilly.

Agree 100%, mth, it's an odd night to make this move with BP.
