C Trent's latest post on his website says this...
Wait a Second…
We’re in a holding pattern. Stay tuned.
This was after a post stating that he had been laid off. Interesting.
Also gone are talk show producers Travis Holmes and Mark Chalifoux.
Mo Egger is like the kiss of death haha. Everyone who produces him or becomes his co host gets the axe.
It's a shame that they are cutting local sports radio to the bone.
Always liked Mark when he would join Mo on air. I think they talked about him getting married soon. bad enough getting the axe, but right before your wedding must be awful.
Feel bad for Mo, too. Looks like he has a job, which is good, but is losing his own show. Definite step back in his career.
"I saw Wedding Crashers accidentally. I bought a ticket for Grizzly Man and went into the wrong theater. After an hour, I figured I was in the wrong theater, but I kept waiting. Thatís the thing about bear attacks. They come when you least expect it."-Dwight K. Schrute
Wasn't Cutler on the air this morning? Seems like an awful quick ax. I won't miss him. I'm amazed he's kept that gig that long. Ditto for P Doc
In this day and age, sports information can be had from everywhere. Just look at Trent's own website where he reels off 4 to 5 services to get informed. It's a double edged sword having so many outlets available to the sports fan and companies like Clear Channel get that sense when they have to evaluate their current state of things.
Extra innings? You must mean Doc Rodgers Boring Story Time.
2:45 p.m. update: Scott Sloan, whose 9 p.m.-midnight show is pre-empted by the Reds for six months, just told Bill Cunningham's audience that he'll do the "Extra Innings" post-game call-in show tonight, instead of Doc. Don't know if that's permanent; it could be. Still haven't heard from any Clear Channel execs, and probably won't. Nothing yet on anyone from the FM side.
