That was a nasty pitch for strike 3 to Brandon. It may have been off the plate but it wasn't by much and an umpire will give that pitch to the pitcher more times than not.

Crud. Hanley beats the crap out of that one. 1-0 Marlins.

1-0 Marlins. The gopher ball plagues Harang. Uh oh.

    @ Gallen

He seems to be okay. Just a stinger I'm guessing.

He's looking fine in the field. 2 nice plays to end the inning there. 1-0 Marlins after 1.

    Bottom of 1st:

I am going to have to learn these Marlin names.

Bonafacio grounds to a backhanding Phillips. Smooth as silk. Web gem. 1 out.
John Baker up. He had a double, a single, and a HR last game in Chicago. Harang K's him looking. It's a new game Mr. Baker. 2 out

Hanley Rameriz up. You may know him from Fantasy Baseball fame. He hammers a no doubter into Left. He loves to hit off Harang.

(Harang loves to get a game going with his fastball, I think Hanley knew this. He hit it on the first pitch)

    No shutout tonight.

Cantu hits a sinking grounder to the right of Gonzo. He makes a great backhanded play. 3 out.

Minimal damage thanks to some great D.

    After 1, Marlins 1 Reds 0.

Made no prediction about winning or losing, sir. It does get tiring, though to see the same non-production out of the 4-hole on a consistent basis without any answer from management.

I guess we'll pay Phillips there all season as he hits about .230?

Yeah and his inability to glove that ball in the 1st nearly undone the inning for his pitcher. I would have passed myself the guy is a non defender who wouldn't tke Joey's job away.

I love watching Gonzo throw. If he can throw like that from the hole, dude has got some serious arm strength. It's effortless.

IMO, you can give up some defensive powress to score some runs. BTW, who is the backup first sacker?

Thanks for the info Sir Charles. I am glad that Phillips is still able to play.
