    Ryan Zimmerman's hitting streak

27 games now (after tonight). That's more than half-way to 56!

Not that 27 is THAT notable, but it might be interesting to watch.

If I counted correctly, game #56 would be on Wednesday, June 10th when the Reds play at Washington. Game #57 would then be on Thursday, June 11th, again when the Reds play at Washington.

I only bring this note up because I will indeed be attending those two games.

Now I'm rooting for Zimmerman to break the record so you'll get to see some history

You forget that he plays in DC. Math works differently there. :

If he does break it, be sure to check out the Nats' scoreboard for their "Congratulatins"

I may going to that June 11th game. It's a 4:35 start time and would be perfect to straight to after work for me. I guess I had better get my tickets now since it could be historic.

I wouldn't hold me breath until he gets to 50 games. I'd put the odds at somewhere along the line as that of winning the lottery.

It's still a long way to go. Pete Rose's 44 game streak from 1978 still looms 17 games ahead...

What's crazy, is I'll be at one of those games too.

With big Dunn behind him, he has a good shot. No one is going to want to pitch to Dunn considering the way he is going right now.

I'll be there with a group of guys, including one other RZ member, and it could be a bit rowdy with the group we'll have out there. Sounds like the possibility is certainly there for some serious RZ drinking in DC!
