    Bars near Riverbend

Hey everyone, I'm in need of some help. I'm taking my girlfriend and her friend down to a concert tomorrow night, and was wondering if there were any bars near Riverbend other than the bars in Newport. Any information could help.

    Thanks a lot.

If you feel like driving up to Columbia Parkway or Mt. Lookout, there are plenty of great bars.

Stanley's Pub is great for just about any group of people. This would be my first recommendation. I also like The Stand--it possibly has the nicest interior of any bar I've ever seen. It's an experience that I think everyone should have. Allyn's Cafe is pretty casual, and sometimes there is great live music. I've heard about Pirate's Cove Tropical Bar & Grill, but I've never actually been there. It seems like it could be a lot of fun, though.

And finally, make sure you avoid Annie's at all costs.

If you want directions or more info that you can't find on Google, let me know.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll see where they wanna go. I am just being the DD for them, so during the concert I'm gonna go look for somewhere to hang out and watch the Reds game. I appreciate the info

Um...LEBO'S. The great, the only riverfront bar where people with hairsprayed bangs take karaoke extremely seriously. It is on Kellogg right down the road.

This is a no brainer, inside the 4 seasons marina there is a bar called "The Sandbar", It offers a marina view, swimming pool, multiple sand volleyball courts, and good affordable drinks. All of this makes for a good time, everytime, while only being 1/2 mile from riverbend

Annie's is holding on last I heard. They don't get much in the way of national acts coming through there anymore. I saw several great metal shows there. I'd rather go down there than Bogart's, just because the area around Bogart's has decayed so much. Bogart's still rules though, once you get inside.

FWIW when we go to a concert at Riverbend we usually hit Maloney's Pub on Beechmont up. It isn't a bad place to get a drink and you just hop on 5 mile (I believe) and it drops you down right outside of Riverbend. It is only a 5 minute drive. The problem that arises if you go to Mt Lookout or somewhere on Columbia Pkwy is that the traffic is awful coming from the west.

Thanks for all the help guys. We went last night and did a little bar hopping to some of the different places that were suggested. Everywhere that we went was a great time and easy to get to Riverbend from. Appreciate all the help

I'm going to have to check this place out. It sounds like my kind of crowd.
