Are you smarter than a pre-schooler?

    PRE-SCHOOL TEST

Pre-school children were asked the following question:
"In which direction is the school bus pictured below traveling?"

    Look carefully at the picture.

    Do you know the answer?

The only possible answers are "left" or "right."

    Think about it

    Still don't know?

    Okay, I'll tell you.

    The pre-schoolers all answered "left."

When asked, "Why do you think the bus is traveling in the left direction?"

    they answered:

"Because you can't see the door."

Feel pretty dumb now, don't you?

    I know, me too.

So they obviously weren't British preschoolers.

Hmmm...I said right, because you can't see the driver.

The vehicle is traveling in reverse. What now preschoolers?
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

When I was a kid we had to crawl through the window just to get on, and the bus didn't even stop, and if you couldn't make it through the window fast enough you just had to hang on until you got to school, and it was snowing and raining and hot and cold all at the same time, and the other kids waiting for the bus at the next stop got to throw rocks at you, and give you giant wedgies, and the kids inside the bus got to slam the window down on your fingers, and you dropped your lunch, and your homework flew out of your backpack (whatever homework you had left after the dog got through with it) and the bus driver called ahead and narced on you so you got detention for goofing off on the bus (even though, technically, you weren't even on the bus), and then your parents found out about it from your baby sister and grounded you when you got home - just because. AND YOU LEARNED TO WALK THE 10 MILES BACK AND FORTH FROM SCHOOL AND LIKE IT.

Dave, I think you forgot to mention the 10 mile walk was uphill both ways!
