Up here in Dayton. Sulbaran pitching well. Struggled in the first inning, hitting two batters, but since then has been dominant.

Fastball was 87-89 early, hitting 90 every now and again. Last inning he was 89-90 and hitting 91. Curveball has looked outstanding tonight. As I say that, 92 MPH fastball goes long for a HR down the line.

In the Terrell Young thread it was posted he was returned to the Reds? If so where will he be assigned in the Reds system?

I just heard he was heading to Louisville. That would surprise me a lot, but thats what I heard.

Also on the Kyle Lotzkar front, he will be in Dayton soon, likely within the next two weeks.

Sulbaran is done for the night here in Dayton. He pitched pretty well, wild early on and the HR was on a first pitch fastball up in the zone, but other than that he was on top of things.

Thanks for the info Dougdirt on Terrell Young. It's good we get him back into the system. Where does he rank now in the Reds prospect list. It's also good news about Kyle Lotzkar.

    Doug,
Can you tell us a little more about Sulbaran's curve ball? How fast? sharp? What sort of arm slot does he throw from? Some of us haven't seen him at all. Thanks.

I took some video of him pitching tonight, so you can see it for yourself tomorrow probably (depending on how busy I am when I get home tonight). He was throwing it in the 74-78 MPH range.

There is actually some video on youtube of him pitching in the WBC.... nasty curveball in there.

Just looked at the Pudge strikeout. The bottom drops out of that thing! it's very much a 12-6 pitch. I hope they don't fool with him like they did with Homer.
