    Re-do a draft - 2000

Back for a glorious second day, it's re-do a draft.

Today we're doing the 2000 draft, which sneakily produced talents in lower rounds. We're going 30 picks here and everybody taken in the 2000 draft is eligible, regardless if they signed. There's no formal picking order, whoever posts gets to make the next selection. Posters can make multiple picks, just don't make two selections in a row.

Anyone selected in the draft for the year in question is eligible. How he was rated prior to the draft should not be considered. The only considerations are how he has played to date and what kind of future you think he has. We're pretending we've got a time machine that takes us back to draft day 2000 with the benefit of knowing everything we know today.

Let's keep the current picks listed with each new pick and then just bold the new selection. For instance:

    1. Dude A
    2. Dude B
    3. Dude C
    4. Dude D
    5. New Dude

    And here's the first pick:

    1. Chase Utley

That's a strong first six picks, amazing that four of those guys weren't even on the first round radar that season.

My only complaint so far is minor with Kinsler not going 4th. That type of production from a 2B is rare.

It was something I strongly considered when making the Bay pick. But in the end, Bay's doubled Kinsler's games total 800 to 400 to date. Kinsler is three years younger, but 400 additional games of .900 OPS production already in the book was too much to pass up.

I overlooked Cliff Lee, but I still like Edwin and think he'll end up with a decent career.
