Heisey is 2-for-4 with a double. Nice to see him bounce back after struggling in the past four games.

nice start for Smit. With Buck on DL and Mallett in AAA, I'm guessing he gets some more starts even with Stewart now on the roster.

And Louisville will have another empty spot with Homer's callup.

    The rotation was:
    Maloney
    LeCure
    Bailey
    Thompson
    Ramirez

Maloney and LeCure should get the next two starts. Pettyjohn appears to have taken Ramirez's slot. Mallet and Jukich should fall in between.

Seems hard to understand why we'd spend any starts on Pettyjohn. I wonder if we've got enough at AA to push up James Avery. I'd like to see him challenged a bit, at least for a couple AAA starts. They can always move Mallett back if necessary.

In order I'd like to see them move to AAA for a few starts.

    1. Wood
    2. Jordan Smith
    3. Avery

I'd have no complaints about that order.

For those wondering, Kyle Aselton was a Twins draft pick who was released and signed by the White Sox back in April. However, he didn't stay long and signed with the Reds very recently.
