Doug,
What's your read on the way the organization looks at Valiquette right now? Seems like there's not a lot more for him to do at Sarasota? How's he regarded?
Alonso's slowing down.
Only 7 RBI's in his last 11 games and an average of about .287 over that span. Still struggling against Left-handers going 4 for 20. He could use another 100 PA's in Sarasota, not just for his bat, but for his glove. Go through the whole league one time, and then see what happens after they've seen each other and adjustments are made. The next five weeks will be telling, though like you, I think he could hit well right now in the Majors against Right-handers.
Louisville won 6-0.
Hopper: 1-for-4
Stubbs: 1-for-4
Griffin: 1-for-4 triple

Dorn's on fire!
5 Total Bases today in 4 AB's (1.750 OPS today)
Travis Wood: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K
1-0 Carolina after five innings.
Dayton is up 3-0. Don't look now but Miguel Rojas who has been all glove and no bat is starting to show some life with his bat. He was hitting .312/.372/.403 with 8 walks and 6 K's heading into the game in May and is 1-2 with a triple and a walk tonight.
