Sounds right, otherwise, at the rate he's going, they would have to shut him down in July.

As soon as I made my post, that's the first thing that popped into my head. That's a smart strategy if that's what they're doing.

    He remains sizzling hot!!!

Now a 1.600+ OPS (and 1.100+ SLG) over his last 7 games plus this at-bat.

The baseball looks like a basketball to him right now.

    Sorry, OBM....didn't see you post.
and tied for the Reds minor league lead in HRs with 9. I don't recall his getting a single mention when we were doing our top 40 prospects in the off season. He is hitting better than he did at Billings.

Very good to see Sulbaran w/ ZERO BB's tonight. Fluke or is he learning?

We will see over his next few games. With pitchers, especially young guys, there is often a lot of inconsistency.

Sulbaran seems to be a major flyball pitcher. He has given up 8 HR's in only 31 innings so far, so hopefully he can cut those down. Despite the HR's, he is still pitching well.

I went to the Dragons game tonight. Sulbaran looked good, especially late in the game. His fastball was around 90-92 and he threw that pitch the majority of the time in the early part of the game. Later on he started mixing in the offspeed stuff and really had guys chasing.

Its probably because hes pitching high in the zone because most young dudes cant lay off that stuff.
