Maysonet pops up to Hairston for the 1st out.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Just turned on the game. How's Arroyo looked tonight?

His good self has showed up. Good life on the fastball up around 87, able to locate it just up out of the zone like he likes, good sharp command of his array of breaking stuff. He's been good.

Solid. One walk lead to a run but no other BB's and he's effective.

Quintero flew out to center and Paulino struck out looking for the third out.

Hanigan grounds out to second. One out.

Is it possible the Reds have the best batting starting rotation in baseball?

He started off bad by walking one of the fastest players in the majors, but he has been throwing up scoreless innings since.

Taveras strikes out but Quintero has to throw Taveras out at 1st after not catching it, so Arroyo moves to third. Hairston immediately grounds out to second though to end the inning. 3-1 Reds after 5 innings.

Is there a reason Brantley is stepping up his attacks on Adam Dunn more and more every night? I just don't get it. He is gone get over it and move on.
