Razor Ramon ties it up! 2 run shot!
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Taveras' plate approach makes my head hurt. Hernandez's however does not.

Looper didn't learn from Cueto about walking a batter and then giving up a homer.

    2-2 tie game

Hernandez certainly looking like a brilliant pickup by Walt. Just exceptional in all aspects this year.

Best catching combo in the bigs? That's affirmative.

He's been good. I admit I wasn't thrilled about Walt trading for him, but its worked well, although Hanigan is proving to be no fluke either.

I'll take Joe Mauer and Mike Redmond. But yeah, our catchers have been an asset this year.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Not me. Hanigan and Hernandez have been excellent in all aspects this season--Redmond is a sub-replacement level bat.
