No way, I don't want him blocking my boy Soto in two years....

Alonso is 1-for-1 with a single and a walk.

Geez. Just release Dorn and McDonald, and move Heisey and Frazier to triple AAA and let's see how they hit at that level. Enough already. Heisey could be the major league answer in LF for all we know.

Why would the Reds release Danny Dorn, a guy who entered this season with a career OPS north of .900 and has yet to turn 25 years old?

Three moves that seem so obvious they should have been made yesterday: Alonso to AA, Heisey to AAA, and Frazier to 3b, either at Carolina or Louisville (unless Heisey can play it.)

Because he's batting a terrible .200 and preventing others from moving up. Okay, send him back to double AA and move Heisey up. Move Frazier up too and move him back to 3B.

I agree with the previous poster. Move Alonzo up too. If our farm system is our backbone, why waste time with some of these guys. Either they progress or they don't. But if a guy is dominating (like Heisey), why leave him at that level?

It sure seems like management is slow to react. They must be playing golf everyday and not paying attention.

I think Yonder has now hit in 30 of 31 of the last games?

Why this rush on these guys?

Rushing does nothing but get you in trouble...

Chances are if these guys move up a level that is where they will stay for the rest of the year unless we see injuries...

Alonso to AA now or after the draft really doesn't matter...same with heisey...

and sometimes it is better to see a guy struggle a little bit at a level and then see how they react...

But getting rid of Dorn???? that is one of the craziest thoughts have I have seen in a while...

The organization does have some questions that need answered but they are good questions...With a couple big bats that should be ready in the next year or two, but where to put them at the major league level...

Guys like Votto, Bruce, Alonso, Frazier, Soto, Stubbs, heisey, Cozart, Phillips...how do you get them al on the field and do you trade for a position of need, like C or P...

Sarsota's lineup is in bad enough shape as it is. It'll be interesting to see if someone can step up now that Alonso is going to AA. To get an idea of how important he is, just look at the numbers from yesterday's lineup with and without him.

    Code:
NAME PA AB H 2B 3B HR BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS HBP SH SF
    Gregorius 16 15 2 1 0 0 1 0 .133 .188 .200 .388 0 0 0

    Alonso 193 169 51 13 0 7 22 28 .302 .378 .503 .881 0 0 2
    Soto 186 174 50 5 1 4 6 24 .287 .319 .397 .715 3 1 2
