    Jose Peraza RBI triple!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

LOUISVILLE - For the second straight game, Juan Perez has led off, and gotten tattooed by the baseball.

TRIVIA: Robert Stephenson is the first Reds rookie pitcher to win his first 2 starts since Larry Luebbers did it way back in 1993. That's a long walk down memory lane. Let's hope Stephenson goes on to have a better career arc than Larry managed to have.

MORE TRIVIA: Robert Stephenson and my daughter share a birthday.

SAY WHAT? DEPARTMENT: The Louisville media guide lists Stephenson as being 28 years old?!? I hope they don't know something that we don't know.

DAYTON - It is not a good afternoon for the Dragons. Jacob Constante gets lit up for 7 runs in 1.2 innings. 4 hits, 4 walks, 1 hit by pitch and 57 pitches, 27 for strikes. Take that, Nick Howard! Jake Johnson comes on and promptly issues a walk and a home run to the first 2 batters he faces. Johnson pushes his ERA up over 11. Take that, Alfredo!

UPDATE: Tyler Stephenson lines a single to leadoff the bottom of the second. Rally caps on!

Annnnnd, James Vasquez launches his seventh home run on the season. 8-2.

LOUISVILLE - The Bats push 2 more runs across the plate in the second.
Stephenson hangs another goose egg. 4-0 Bats.

Geez. TOOTBLAN Waldrop thrown out at the plate. He was thrown out at third yesterday, stretching a double.

DAYTON - Dayton now trails 9-2. Jake Johnson gives up another dinger. Jake is having a rough outing. 1.1 innings on the mound have resulted in 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 home runs and 2 earned runs.

PENSACOLA - is underway. Nick Travieso is pitching for Pensacola. The Wahoos have loaded the bases with one out in the top of the first. Blandino doubled. Ervin was hit by a pitch. Parker worked a walk. Oof! Brandon Dixon with a frozen rope that was caught and turned into a double play.

LOUISVILLE - Stephenson just hit 95 on the gun per Matt Andrews.

Iribarren has reached base all 3 times (2 hits and a walk) up, and is hitting .397.

On to the sixth, Bats lead 4-zip.
