Yep, big kid, lefty, good arm, cool name, what is not to like?
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

Re: 2009 Redszone mock draft selection thread

The Mariners draft is finished as well. First Round: Ackley was a no-brainer and once the top college arms were gone (Arnett was our target, taken 1 pick ahead of us) we went with a top High School Lefty in Tyler Skaggs. We couldn't be happier with Heckathorn making it to us in the supplemental round as we considered him in place of Skaggs in round 1, we have Heckathorn just a tick behind the top group of college arms. Really liked Nick Franklin and we are in need of middle infield help so we pounced on him in the 2nd round. Really wanted Chris Dwyer in the 3rd round but since he was off the board we decided to nab Billy Bullock who is the top reliever on our board. Bullock, Ackley and Heckathorn could step in within the next two season and make an impact. The Seattle Mariners couldn't be any happier with how the draft went rounds 1-3 and will be looking to add depth at 1B, 3B, 2B and Pitching throughout the remainder of the draft.

Re: 2009 Redszone mock draft selection thread

With the 90th pick, the Colorado Rockies select Diego Seastrunk, C, Rice University.

Diego is a swith-hitter who has a tremendous plate approach. He should post consistently high OBPs while smacking line drives all over the field. He has some experience at the hot corner, but due to his limited power and lack of other options, Rice moved him to catcher for his junior season. He has all the tools to handle the backstop, but for now he is still raw and developing...

I'm thrilled with my top two picks (Crow is a top 5 talent, Williams is considered a first round talent). My biggest regret is not taking David Renfroe in the second round. I got greedy and was hoping he would drop to me in the third round but Stewie smartly picked him in the late second round. I was really hoping for Reymond Fuentes or Nick Franklin in the second round but they were taken just a few picks ahead of me.
I liked Renfroe quite a bit too. Projectable sort of kid.

With the 91st pick of the 2009 MLB Draft, the Kansas City Royals select HS C Andrew Susac. Projectable and tools-heavy.

Bryan Morgado, LHP, University of Tennessee, SP/RP

Lefty that throws hard (up to 94/95), 2 good picthes, needs to develop a respectable change-up to make it as a starter, command inconsistent to due to funky Cole Hamels esque delivery.

As always thanks for this OBM, and the PM's.

Outstanding draft Aaron! To get Ackley and Skaggs booth is a great draft in itself but then to get Franklin, Bullock and Heckathorn is pretty doggone sweet. Not a big Heckathorn fan but it was good value I really liked all your other guys though.

Another excellent draft here. Good value on Bashore even though I'm on the fence about his future. But beyond that very much a fan of the rest of those guys, I think Williams could be a superstar down the road and I love Murphy's talent and Crow is well Crow.

But as a Reds fan I gotta wonder where oh where is my SS? LOL
